Sheffield Wednesday squad revealed for Wycombe Wanderers with four players absent

Such is the strength of Sheffield Wednesday's squad that manager Darren Moore could afford to leave Jaden Brown, Dennis Adeniran and Sylla Sow out of the travelling party for the visit to Wycombe Wanderers. The trio featured in yesterday's Under-23s clash against Queens Park Rangers at Middlewood Road.

Moore is keen for Adeniran and Sow to build up their minutes. It was Adeniran's first run-out since January due to injury.

It is possible Adeniran and Sow could come into Moore's thoughts should Wednesday extend their season into next month. Brown, though, looks unlikely to play a prominent role in the run-in, having slipped down in the pecking order for a starting berth.

Moore's centre back options are boosted by the return from injury of Sam Hutchinson. Whether both Hutchinson and Harlee Dean will start at Adams Park remains up in the air. Dean was absent from the midweek win over Crewe Alexandra.

One player Moore will definitely be without is Dominic Iorfa. The defender faces "three to four weeks" on the sidelines. His season could well be over.

"We thought Portsmouth would possibly be a game for him," said Moore. "We don't envisage him being quite ready. After the Portsmouth game is when he will probably start to pick up his rehab. We think with his injury it is going to be three or four weeks.

"He went in for a tackle in training and came worse off. It was an impact injury.

"It was two players going straight for the ball in a competitive manner and Dom came off a little bit worse. It was nobody's fault."

Today's clash comes too soon for Josh Windass and Ciaran Brennan. Tyreece John-Jules (quad) is a long-term absentee.
