Blackpool agree deal with Rovers for Andy Lyons
Shamrock Rovers have agreed a deal with Championship club Blackpool for the sale of full-back Andy Lyons.
The in-form Republic of Ireland Under-21 international had been the subject of a number of bids from the Seasiders, with the League of Ireland champions confirming he will depart in January.
The Naas native has signed a three-and-a-half year contract, which includes an option for a further year.
Lyons has made a big impression since joining from Bohemians eight months ago, with several eye-catching displays down the flank. He's also chipped in with eight goals in 32 appearances.
In the last week alone the 22-year-old has been the match winner against Ferencvaros in the Europa League play-off tie and Drogheda United in Sunday's FAI Cup tie that went to extra-time.
