Sheffield United squad to face Cardiff and expected line-up as Billy Sharp set to return

Sheffield United have three games remaining to secure a play-off spot. They entertain Cardiff this afternoon looking to return to winning ways.

Paul Heckingbottom's side currently sit sixth in the Championship table and are one of a clutch of teams aiming to finish in the promotion picture. The Blades boss was dealt good and bad news on the injury front this week.

Leading scorer and captain Billy Sharp is back in training and available to feature after suffering a hamstring injury against Barnsley prior to the international break last month. He has been sorely missed with United winning just one of five games since then in his absence.

George Baldock has also trained despite coming off at Bristol City last week, but Oli McBurnie's foot injury from the defeat to Reading has come back as ligament damage and fractures of the bone and he is out for the season. He is fit enough to, but when it's muscle injuries you are more concerned when they are coming back and obviously with the news of Oli Mac it makes it that more important that we keep him fit and get more out of him."

If Heckingbottom prefers to play Sharp from the start and Baldock is fit enough from the off, here is how you would expect United to line-up today: Foderingham; Basham, Egan, Robinson; Baldock, Berge, Norwood, Fleck, Stevens; Gibbs-White, Sharp.

Should Sharp start on the bench,
