Sheffield United seal defensive transfer signing

Sheffield United have moved to sign Filip Uremovic until the end of the season as they add to their defensive ranks for the final weeks of the Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The race for the play-offs in the second tier is well and truly on, and the Blades are firmly in the mix.

They have, though, been struck by quite a harsh injury list in recent weeks and it is fair to say that they are walking wounded right now.

Indeed, it obviously has the potential to derail their play-off bid, though Paul Heckingbottom will not be allowing any room for excuses if they do not get the job done.

Clearly, he is trying to still achieve a top six spot and doing all he can to achieve that aim, with the arrival of Uremovic on a short-term basis.
