Sheffield United's Jack Robinson fires Nottingham Forest warning ahead of crucial play-off second leg

Sheffield United defender Jack Robinson has insisted he and his team-mates are fully committed to ensure on-field success for the Blades this season.

Paul Heckingbottom's side trail 2-1 following their Championship play-off semi-final first leg defeat to Nottingham Forest at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon. Jack Colback and Brennan Johnson had fired Forest into a 2-0 lead, before a late Sander Berge header has given United a foundation in which to build upon.

With Robinson a mainstay within the Blades starting XI throughout the duration of the 21/22 campaign, the 28-year-old believes the Blades can still put together a winning formula.

“[It] Gives you a boost, going in one goal down instead of two is massive," he said. "If we can reproduce [the performance at] QPR then who knows what can happen.

“It was a poor performance first half. Two mistakes that cost us. A goal at the end, we’ll take that going into the leg. We were poor on the day, they were good. It’s about changing that round tomorrow night.

“We’ve looked back at the video today. We need to be stronger and tighter and put on a better performance. We have to focus on ourselves. 100% focus, 100% just to give our all.

Having gone down a goal down as mentioned at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium last month, United hit back in terrific fashion, scoring three times in the second half.

With victory at Birmingham City another example of the Blades ability to turn games upon their head this season, Heckingbottom will be aware that United have the ability to come from behind ahead of their trip to the City Ground on Tuesday evening.
