Sheffield United lengthy injury list in full as Enda Stevens offers hope that tide is turning
With just eight games of the regular Championship season to go, Sheffield United will be looking for one more push to at least make the play-off places this season. Paul Heckingbottom has done a terrific job since taking over from Slavisa Jokanovic, guiding the Blades from the bottom half and all the way to the top-six.
However, United do have a number of issues to fix if they to make the play-offs given their injury crisis at the moment. The Blades have a whole host to deal with in most positions and will be hoping to get their best players back and fit before the run-in.
This has led to Heckingbottom strengthening his squad with the signing of Filip Uremovic from Rubin Kazan and he will bolster their back-line given the injury problems. So, with that mind, here is a look at United's current injury list.
The forward limped off in United's 2-0 win over Barnsley last time out. Heckingbottom provided an update on Sharp's condition in his press conference and revealed he was going to have a scan on his ankle.
He said: He's felt something. If I'm totally honest, I'm anxious and worried about it. If I really think sensibly about this, the positive is that Billy is experienced enough to know his body and as soon as he felt something he signalled over and stopped.
"He knows not to carry on with anything muscular. He'll have a few days rest to recover and we have a scan booked for later on in the week and we'll take it from there."
Goode has been out injured with a knee injury for the past couple of weeks following his loan move from Brentford. He could return to the Blades after the international break.
