Sheffield United have provided Leeds United and Crystal Palace with summer transfer target

Morgan Gibbs-White's scintillating displays for Sheffield United have put him and Wolves in a position of strength going into the summer.

The 22-year-old is enjoying a fine campaign at Bramall Lane, having found the net eight times and chipped in with seven assists.

He has certainly got out of his spell exactly what he had hoped when he joined on loan from Premier League side Wolves in August.

Bruno Lage is also delighted with his young player, having kept tabs on his progress and will welcome him back to Molineux at the end of the season.

Should Lage see a future for him in the Midlands, he will have a player on his hands who was one of the best in the second tier.

Currently in the top seven players in the division, and top three attacking midfielders, according to WhoScored.com, Gibbs-White will go back ready to attack the Premier League.

But in whose colours?

According to reports this week, the Wolves boss may also have another type of decision on his hands.

Premier League clubs Southampton, Crystal Palace and Leeds United are said to be keen on his services, along with Championship leaders Fulham.

Either way, Wolves stand to benefit and it's thanks to Sheffield United that Gibbs-White will go back a wanted man.

Sander Berge recently explained why 'you can tell' he's played at a higher level before, while Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom believes he has 'all the attributes for a top flight career'.

United's best hopes of seeing him again after this season would be if they got promoted. Wolves could look to loan him out a second time for a season in the Premier League before making a decision on where his future lies.
