Five crucial play-off six-pointers still to be played not involving Sheffield United

With the international break bringing a halt to another relentless Championship season, Sheffield United entered the two-week period inside the play-off places. The Blades returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley last weekend, which saw them climb back into the top-six.

Second-half goals from Sander Berge and Morgan Gibbs-White earned Paul Heckingbottom's side their first win in three league games as they leapfrogged above Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers and into fifth. However, Boro have a game in hand on the Blades due to their involvement in the FA Cup.

It is turning out to be a fascinating race to reach the play-offs with at least eight sides fighting out for four positions, while Fulham and Bournemouth are looking all but set to finish in the top-two. So with that in mind, here is a look at some of the six-pointers still to be played that don’t involve the Blades.

Straight after the international break, Luton's promotion credentials will be tested when Millwall visit Kenilworth Road. The Hatters have been in sensational form since the turn of the new year, winning seven out of their last 10 matches and it is a run that has seen them move up to third in the table.

But Millwall will be now pushover given their up-turn in fortunes, with Gary Rowett's side third in the form table over the previous eight matches. Luton won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in October as Harry Cornick's brace proved to be the difference at The Den.

Luton's fixture run doesn't get much easier as they make the long journey up to Huddersfield on a Monday night. Both sides currently sit inside the top-six and this fixture could determine which will definitely finish in there come the end of the season.
