Sheffield United ace Oliver Norwood makes Diogo Dalot claim after Manchester United defeat

Sheffield United midfielder Oliver Norwood felt a moment of magic was the only difference between the two sides following Manchester United's 2-1 win at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening.

After Scott McTominay saw his first-half opener almost immediately wiped out by a well-converted penalty by Oliver McBurnie, United breached the Blades' defence for a second time with just under a quarter of an hour of regulation time left. Diogo Dalot bent a speculative effort into the top corner, which was too hot for Wes Foderingham to handle.

The Portuguese international's first goal of the season proved decisive, securing Erik ten Hag's side back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season. They will be hoping it gives them a platform to build on ahead of crunch fixtures against FC Copenhagen and Manchester City this coming week.

As for the Blades, they remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and still without a win in all competitions this season. Nevertheless, Norwood took plenty of positives out of their slender defeat to the Reds, saying Dalot's ability to conjure up something special was the only difference between the two teams.

Norwood told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It is a difficult one to take. The performance was there, the intensity was there, the aggression that we wanted to play with and we'd worked on.
