Bruno Fernandes gives verdict on Manchester United display vs Fulham as he highlights big change

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes praised the intensity of his team's performance as they beat Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Reds thought they'd taken the lead after less than 10 minutes but the referee and VAR controversially ruled Scott McTominay's goal to be offside. From then onwards it was a largely drab affair with United struggling to carve out many decent chances.

But this was all forgotten in stoppage time as Fernandes moved past two players and fired the ball home at Bernd Leno's near post to win the game. After the match, Fernandes was asked to reflect on the game and he was full of praise for his teammates.

The Portuguese attacking midfielder told TNT Sports: "Everyone knows the situation is not the best [at United]. The performances over our last few matches have not been good obviously, the results too, but today it was a different game.

"We had to show something different and we delivered, we got the three points and that’s what mattered. It’s about the team, about what everyone does, everyone sacrificed, ran hard, worked hard, and you could see the reaction of the players trying to win the ball back. That’s what will be the change.

"I thought it was a good performance, we were creating a lot of chances," he added. "We had a good control over the game, the second half was more 50/50 but the bigger chances were on our side and we deserved to win it in the end."

United's Adidas home shirt is made up of the same colour of the city's iconic red rose and features a black collar. The collar also features a dash of both red and white, giving it a slick and modernised look.

Prices start from £55
