Shaw, Malacia, Yoro - Manchester United injury latest and return dates ahead of FC Twente clash

Manchester United will be eyeing a winning start to their Europa League campaign when they welcome FC Twente to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

The Reds, who last faced Dutch opposition in 2019, will be keen to get back to winning ways after Saturday's goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. United, particularly in the first half, peppered Palace's goal but were unable to find a way through.

Despite their frustrations, United did record a third successive clean sheet and welcomed Rasmus Hojlund back from injury. The Dane stepped off the bench in the second half to make his first appearance of the season.

Ahead of the visit of Twente, United manager Erik ten Hag has issued a fresh update on the injury front, confirming he will pick from the same pool of players that drew with Palace. He did, however, share an update on Luke Shaw's recovery.

Below, MEN Sport brings you up to date with all the very latest concerning United's injury problems...

Injury: Fractured metatarsal

Yoro, who joined United from French side Lille in July, fractured his metatarsal in the opening game of the club's pre-season tour of the United States. He required surgery and it was forecasted he could be out for up to three months.

However, as reported by the Manchester Evening News earlier this month, he is understood to be already walking without crutches, meaning his recovery is very much heading in the right direction.

Possible return date: November.

Injury: Toe
