Shamrock Rovers paired with Ludogorets / Sutjeska in Champions League second round qualifying

Shamrock Rovers will play Ludogorets (Bulgaria) or Sutjeska (Montenegro) in the second round of Champions League qualifying, should they progress to that stage.

The Hoops were paired with Hibernians of Malta in the first round. That tie begins the first week of July.

Should they reach the second round, Rovers would be guaranteed at least a play-off for the Europa Conference League.

Ludogorets would be the most likely side to reach the second round from their tie, having featured in the group stages of the Europa League last season.

Linfield or The New Saints will play Bodo/Glimt or Norway or KÍ from the Faroe Islands.

St Patrick's Athletic will enter the second round draw of Conference League this afternoon.

The Saints join Derry City and Sligo Rovers who must come through the first round to reach this stage.

That draw takes place at 12pm.
