Shakhtar Donetsk allow 12-year-old from Mariupol to score winner vs Lechia
Dmytro Keda, a 12-year-old from Mariupol, came off the bench for Shakhtar Donetsk to score the winner in their friendly against Lechia in a beautiful moment on Thursday.
Shakhtar are currently participating in the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace, which features matches against Olympiakos, Lechia, Fenerbahce and Hajduk Split as the Ukrainian club looks to raise money for the people of its country following Russia’s invasion.
Against Lechia, the scores were level with their Polish opposition as they entered second half injury-time in Gdansk.
They turned to Dmytro who has seen his home town of Mariupol become a warzone.
After playing a few passes, the young lad was allowed to run through on goal to score a late winner for Shakhtar before being mobbed by his teammates.
