Sevilla vs Manchester United LIVE highlights and reaction as Sevilla win after David de Gea horror show

Manchester United take on Sevilla for a place in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night.

United had a golden opportunity to decide the tie at Old Trafford last week after two brilliant goals from Marcel Sabitzer, but that comfortable advantage was somehow thrown away in the final stages, which meant the contest ended 2-2.

Erik ten Hag's side defeated Nottingham Forest at the weekend and they are now hoping to secure another win against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, which would mean progression to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Regarding the team news, Marcus Rashford starts on the bench following his return from injury but Sabitzer makes the starting line-up after overcoming a knock. Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho miss out due to injury.

Bruno Fernandes is also suspended for the game after receiving a yellow card in the first leg last week.

Sevilla followers unfurled a banner that said Nunca te rindas - never give up. Manchester United gave up on their European campaign with a whimper.

From 2-0 up to 5-2 down across the two legs, this is a galling ejection for Erik ten Hag. Sevilla - 13th in La Liga - still have the hex over United and are now unbeaten in their five meetings.

Ten Hag, frowning with his arms folded for much of the night, cannot rue his poor game management, the own goals in the first leg or the number of injuries. United saw off the champions-elect of Spain in Barcelona and Real Betis, fifth in the ladder when vanquished 5-1 on aggregate.
