Several ex-WWE stars to make sensational returns following Vince McMahon's retirement?

Could several former WWE Superstars, the majority of whom left during the last few years of Vince McMahon’s regime, now be in line to make sensational returns?

On Friday last week, Vince McMahon announced his shock retirement from WWE, stepping away for the first time since taking over the company in 1982.

While all of his roles have obviously been redistributed, the shift that excited fans the most was announced on Monday, with Triple H taking over as Head of Creative.

The move is seemingly not only one that’s got fans thinking, but has also seemingly been thought-provoking for former WWE Superstars too.

Following Vince McMahon’s retirement and Triple H’s promotion, Fightful Select reached out to several former members of the WWE roster to gauge their reaction.

The general feeling amongst the talent that Fightful spoke to was that they feel they’d still be working for WWE if Triple H had been in charge.

The report even notes that former NXT talent that were released by Vince McMahon believe that Triple H simply wouldn’t have fired them if he was in charge at the time.

There are numerous NXT talent that have been released along the way that believe that had Triple H had been in these roles that they wouldn’t have been released —  in fact, the majority that we spoke to.

A former NXT star spoke to Fightful about his decision to leave WWE and hinting that their decision may well have been different if Triple H was running creative, as opposed to Vince McMahon.

One former NXT talent that had options within WWE before signing elsewhere said that they felt an incredible sense of loyalty to Triple H, and had he been the person managing their creative future “things could have been much different.”
