Sell or keep? The Bristol City players that could be in the shop window this summer as transfer season beckons

The summer transfer window is fast approaching and there is newfound positivity at Bristol City as they’re on course to finish the season in strong form – having taken seven points from their last three games.

Inconsistency has been rife for the Robins this term and though there has been a number of impressive performances, those have often been paired with frustrating results.

The last few weeks does seem to have shown some progress is being made in what is Nigel Pearson’s first full season at the helm and he’ll be looking to make more changes to his squad this summer to ensure that continues.

He’s already admitted that there isn’t going to be a huge amount of money to spend, which may well mean the Robins will need to shift a few of their current players before they can bring in any new additions.

Kasey Palmer

It’s been another season of frustration for Kasey Palmer, who has fallen out of favour completely and is someone that City should be looking to sell in the summer.

Birmingham City were linked in January and are reportedly (The Sunday People (24/04/22) via BirminghamLive) set to reignite their interest, which is something that the South West club should look to take advantage of.

Any fee would be useful but clearing his salary (£20,000-a-week as per Salary Sport) off the wage bill is surely more important.

Nahki Wells 

There’s no denying Nahki Wells’ goalscoring record in the Championship but things just haven’t worked out for him at Ashton Gate and the upcoming window looks like the appropriate time to sell him.
