Second half sub Aaron Carlon "unstoppable" as Luncarty defeat Kirkcaldy & Dysart in cup

Second half sub Aaron Carlon was hailed “unstoppable” as Luncarty advanced in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup on Wednesday night.

The young forward netted twice against Kirkcaldy and Dysart - Rhys Davies had opened the scoring - in a 3-0 second round triumph.

Delighted boss Jason McCrindle said: “Aaron is an exciting player when he’s in full flow and he’s unstoppable when he performs like he did on Wednesday.

“We have had a couple of conversations since I came to the club and Wednesday is the level he needs to play at every week.”

McCrindle added: “The performance was really good and the players deserve all the credit for the win.

“It was a really professional performance and I’m delighted for them to get the victory.”

It is back to Premier Division action at Brownlands Park on Saturday when the Bleachers - chasing their first three points of the league season - welcome Penicuik Athletic.

“We are in a better place since the Broxburn game and the boys are continuing with the levels of performance we have produced in the first three games,” McCrindle said.

“It’s going to be a tough match but we know that is the challenge facing us in every game.”
