Cork booked a Munster Senior Football Championship semi-final date with Kerry after a 3-13 to 0-11 victory over Limerick at SuperValue Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Second half goals from Chris Óg Jones, Ruairi Deane and Ian Maguire saw Cork to the win over a gallant Limerick effort.

Limerick led by a point at the break but were unable to match a more fluid Cork in the second half.

Cork hit the front after just 27 seconds when wing back Matty Taylor finished off a slick move but Limerick responded with a fine James Naughton score.

John Cleary's men then sliced open the Limerick defence, however, Brian Hurley’s fisted effort from close range was easily saved.

Limerick moved ahead courtesy of a sublime Emmet Rigter kick from range but the game was squared up once more after Chris Óg Jones hit the target for the home side.

Hurley found his radar for Cork soon after with one from play and one from a free. Daniel O’Mahony then put the Leesiders in front.

Limerick hit a purple patch in the lead up to half time with points from Bryan Nix, Naughton and Nash putting them 0-07 to 0-05 clear.

Luke Fahy popped up with a fine score for Cork in added time to cut Limerick’s gap to a point at the break.

Cork made a fast start to the second half with scores from Jones and Brian O’Driscoll before Jones hit the back of the net following a turnover in midfield to see his side 1-09 to 0-07 in front.
