SEC, Big Ten agree to support historic 'Protect College Sports Act' after intense negotiations

Fox News chief congressional correspondent Chad Pergram reports on a bipartisan effort by lawmakers to regulate college sports contracts on ‘Fox Report.’

It's only fitting that negotiations between the SEC and Big Ten over the historic "Protect College Sports Act" came down to the final days before senators could bring the legislation to the floor for a vote.

Between the late-night conversations involving senators, the White House and conferences across college athletics, everyone knew they were racing against the clock to reach a version of the bill that all sides could support.

The dire time restraints were real, along with the contentious Zoom meetings or phone calls that have taken place over the past five months.
