Sean Donaldson Pulls Off 'Fluke Of The Year' Shot, Commentator Describes It As 'Voodoo' And 'Black Magic'

Sean 'The Perth Potting Machine' Donaldson produced a worthy contender for 'Fluke of the Year' this week in his Champions League win against Graeme Dott. Are you ready for this?

The 27-year-old, who turned pro in 2012, was 2-0 up against Dott in the Winners’ Group when he managed to pull off a piece of play described as "virtually voodoo" and "black magic" by commentator Dave Hendon.

As you can see in the footage below, Donaldson was preparing to sink a relatively simple red but moments later, missed his intended target. The red, however, decided to go on a little trip along the rail. Madness.

Somehow, the ball rolled down the rail, hit the jaws of the middle pocket before avoiding the blue and into the oppisote middle bag - a moment that even stunned the referee, who just started laughing at the scene.

"Sometimes you see it go along the rail and drop into that middle, but to come off the table and go into the opposite middle, that’s virtually voodoo, never mind flukes," Hendon said on commentary.

"That’s black magic, almost.’

Donaldson, who was 24-25 down in that second frame, went on to secure a whitewash victory against Dott after that extraordinary moment on the table.

Snookered tight behind the black on the cushion, Heathcote had no choice but to try an ingenious escape: send the white ball rattling into the jaws of a corner pocket and spinning up the table - hopefully towards the object yellow ball.

Not only did Heathcote's once-in-lifetime shot work but it also crashed the yellow straight into the pocket - and left him perfect on the green.
