Seamus Power withdraws from Irish Open through injury
Seamus Power has been forced to withdraw from this week's Horizon Irish Open at the K Club through injury.
The two-time PGA Tour winner has been troubled by hip problems for much of the 2023 season, previously withdrawing from the Scottish Open in July.
This week, Power was overlooked for a captain's pick by Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, following his recent downturn in form.
The Waterford golfer recorded seven top-10 finishes in 2022, including a victory at the Bermuda Championship and a tied-ninth at the PGA Championship.
However, his best showing in 2023 is tied-13th at the John Deere Classic and he last played at the BMW Championship last month.
