Seamus Power fails to make ground at Wyndham Championship

Waterford's Seamus Power sits seven shots behind clubhouse leader Chad Ramsey following his second round at the Wyndham Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club.

American Ramsey produced a stunning six-under par 64 to sit alongside first-round leader Beau Hossler who was also on 11-under par who was finishing his round last night.

Ramsey was on fire on the front nine, out in 30 following five birdies and although the back nine contained just one more, his scorecard was blemish free.

Power failed to build on an encouraging opening round but still sits inside the top 40 on four-under par after a level-par 70.

FULL LEADERBOARD

He showed good recovering skills having given up a double bogey and a bogey in his first five holes having started on the 10th tee.

Birdies at the 15th, 18th and fourth holes, along with a bogey on 17, meant that it was a solid but unspectacular round.

Shane Lowry was among the second wave completing their round late last night at the rain-delayed event.

Having started his second round on level par, Lowry was one-under par after 13 holes.
