Storm Eowyn was always likely to have some affect on the Saturday fixture list.

Whether damage to Celtic Park was the reason causing the most worry is debatable, although Celtic did warn fans on Friday to prepare themselves for a potential all off.

Their clash with Dundee doesn't go ahead after an assessment to determine whether it would be safe or not, and the verdict is that it's not, so they'll try again in February.

That leaves four Scottish Premiership games for a slice of good old fashioned Saturday at 3pm action.

Aberdeen haven't won in the league since November and it's going to take more than a Scottish Cup win over Elgin to convince anyone that Jimmy Thelin's boys are back on track. They host St Mirren at Pittodrie.

Hearts are undergoing a January facelift as Neil Critchley puts Jamestown Analytics to work. The Jambos have added Michael Steinwender and Sander Kartum to their ranks and both cold make their debuts against Kilmarnock.

Rivals Hibs were made to sweat a little this morning (some feat in this weather) as a 9.45am pitch inspection was required ahead of their game at Ross County. That was thankfully passed so it's all systems go in the Highlands for David Gray and Don Cowie.

Basement boys St Johnstone are in action against Motherwell and are hoping to replicate the Scottish Cup fourth round win over the Steelmen with a huge three points on offer in Perth.
