Scottish Cup semi final dates and kick-off times revealed as Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen and Hearts learn fate

The four remaining sides left in the Scottish Cup have now learned just when they will be facing each other, after the SFA confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the two huge matches at the national stadium.

In the early kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday, April 20, Cup holders Celtic will continue their defence of the crown when they take on managerless Aberdeen at Hampden. The two sides last faced off at the national stadium in the semi-finals of the same competition in the delayed 2019/20 season, with the Hoops running out 2-0 winners.

Title rivals Rangers will do battle with Hearts for the other place in the final the following day on Sunday, April 21 at 3pm, which could come just three days after the second leg of the quarter finals of the Europa League should the Light Blues get by Benfica tonight.Having already picked up the Viaplay Cup earlier in the season, Gers boss Philippe Clement will be aiming to enjoy another memorable afternoon at Hampden as his men continue their quest for a domestic treble.

On the flip side, Jambos gaffer Steven Naismith will be looking to inflict revenge on the Light Blues, who bested them 3-1 in the Viaplay Cup semi finals back in November and more recently in a 5-0 drubbing at Ibrox.

Here are the confirmed dates and kick-off times for the Scottish Cup semi finals, with all four sides gunning to progress to the showpiece event on Saturday, May 25.

Saturday, April 20

Celtic v Aberdeen (kick off 12.30pm, live on BBC One Scotland and Viaplay Sport)

Sunday, April 21

Rangers v Hearts (kick off 3pm, live on Viaplay Sport)
