Scottish Cup clash at Penicuik makes Rutherglen Glencairn's hard work worth it, says boss

Joe Pryce says Rutherglen Glencairn travelling to Penicuik Athletic in the senior Scottish Cup makes all their hard work worth it.

Glens worked tirelessly behind the scenes to achieve their Scottish FA licence, and boss Pryce says that has made ‘huge’ ties like that possible.

And as the Lanarkshire side head into the second preliminary round clash at the East of Scotland Premier League side, Pryce says there are broad similarities between the clubs, who will know all about each other.

“This is the senior Scottish Cup, so it’s an important game for the club.”

Pryce added: “Penicuik have one of our ex-players in Liam Coogans, so it will be good to see him again, and we know how dangerous he can be.

“He’s a good striker, so we will need to keep an eye on him!

“We’ve had a wee
