Scott McTominay has Napoli fans perplexed as diehards attempt to pronounce his name in hilarious clip

Scott McTominay is already endearing himself to Napoli fans having made an instant impact in Italy.

On just his third outing for the club after making the £25million move from Manchester United, the Scotland star bagged his first goal at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in a Coppa Italia victory against Palermo, and celebrated the occasion by kissing the famous Naples badge. Less than two weeks later and the midfielder got on the scoresheet again to help his side to a 4-1 win against Como.

The 27-year-old has already won rave review from his manager Antonio Conte, and his early displays for the Gli Azzuri have left former Napoli stars such as Gianfranco Zola and Paolo Di Canio baffled that United even let him leave Old Trafford in the first place. McTominay is already feeling the love from club's feverant fanbase, and in a hilarious clip put out by local outlet CalcioNapoli24 , some members of the support had a go at pronouncing the all-action midfielder's name.

It's fair to say some individuals fared better than others in their attempts, but along with fellow Scotland star and Napoli new boy Billy Gilmour, the duo are certainly settling into life in Southern Italy just fine. Napoli top Serie A after the first seven matches and are next in action against Liam Henderson's Empoli on Sunday.
