Scott McTominay can hit Scotland goal trail again at EURO 2024 as Man Utd hero pinpoints key change

Scotland star Scott McTominay has been backed to continue his rich vein of form for club and country before he jets off to Germany for the Euros next summer.

The Lancaster-born midfielder has been scoring for fun in the last 12 months, and bagged seven goals for Steve Clarke's side as they secured their place at Euro 2024 with a game to spare last October. But the 27-year old's exploits in front of goal have also extended to club level, and he has found the net on nine occasions for Manchester United in all competitions so far this season, most recently with the opening goal in a dramatic FA Cup quarter final victory against bitter rivals Liverpool.

A disappointing international break saw Scotland's wait for a win extend to seven games, with a 4-0 loss away to the Netherlands followed up by a dismal 1-0 defeat to Northern Ireland at Hampden on Tuesday night.

The Scots take on Gibraltar and Finland in their final two tournament friendlies before they face hosts Germany in the EURO 2024 opener on June 14. And McTominay, who has scored eight goals in 49 caps for Scotland since his debut in 2018, has been tipped by former Red Devils star Wes Brown to maintain his hot streak in the box going into the finals.

Speaking to instantcasinos.com, he said: “I love Scott!” he said. “He gets a lot of stick, but I always look at him and remember he’s a youth team player from Manchester United as well, which means he’s first and foremost going to give it everything.
