Scotland vs Romania LIVE score and try updates as as our boys eye World Cup points fest in Lille

It's big, it's always big at the Rugby World Cup.

But Scotland trouncing Romania tees up our boys for a grandstand finale against Ireland next weekend. We know Jonny Sexton and his pals are scintillating, however, our heroes in blue can thrill and a win next weekend could lead us out of the Group of Death.

The stakes are high and Gregor Townsend and Co are up for it. We won well in the end against Samoa and another comprehensive triumph is needed against Romania on Saturday night. Tries are our friend as we target that precious bonus point.

Scotland have to produce their best performance of the professional era to beat Ireland while preventing the world No.1s from gaining a bonus point if they ‘re to progress from Pool B into the knock-out stages.

The first of those two hurdles should be fairly straightforward given minnows Romania have lost their two games so far at this World Cup, 82-8 against Ireland and 76-0 against South Africa.

So to be a regular starter and captain and then to miss out on the 23 for the first two games is obviously tough for him and frustrating.

Kyle Steyn and Chris Harris.

No rest for you two, lads.
