Scotland tipped to beat Ukraine by FIVE goals as icon rages 'FIFA don't care about us'

Ukraine legend Yevhen Seleznyov has predicted Scotland will beat his country by at least FIVE goals when they play in June in a World Cup showdown if the game goes ahead.

Scotland are due to face the war-torn nation in the summer after the semi-final, play-off, which was due to take place on Thursday, was rescheduled because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

But there remain huge doubts about whether the game will go ahead and what kind of team Ukraine will be able to field if FIFA and UEFA order the match to be played.

Ukraine's government are preparing work permits for their 16 domestic-based players which would allow them to leave the country and train in a foreign base to prepare for the game.

But six players from the two biggest clubs Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk have already announced they intend to help the military.

And Mynai striker Seleznyov - who won over 50 caps for his country and helped Shakhtar Donetsk win the Europa League - has hit out at world football chiefs.

He said: "If our players cannot train and aren't able to play friendlies before the match in June, Scotland will win by at least five goals easily.

"I know there has been talk about FIFA giving us automatic entry to the World Cup, but forget that. They don't care about us.

"If the football world cared about us, they would already have made that decision.

"This will set football back years and years in our country.

"I am still training with Mynai. I am not a rat scurrying out of the country. I stay until the end."
