Scotland star Kenny McLean catches manager's eye in training - playing darts

Kenny McLean has caught the eye of Scotland boss Steve Clarke in training ahead of Friday night's big Euro 2024 opener against Germany - playing darts!

The midfielder, who hails from Cambuslang, was snapped performing a different kind of warm-up in Scotland's German training camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen this morning as the Norwich City star enjoyed a game of arras in front of the watchful eye of his manager.

McLean has been on target for the Scots in qualification for Euro 2024 and here's hoping Cambuslang's finest hits the bullseye on Friday night with another big Scotland goal!

The 32-year-old, who has 44 caps for his country so far, scored that memorable last-gasp winner in Oslo against Norway last June and could play another starring role in a big game if has done enough on the training pitch to impress Clarke.

Scotland touched down in Germany yesterday after jetting out from Glasgow Airport and McLean is among three Lanarkshire stars involved in the tournament alongside Celtic defender Anthony Ralston and Arsenal's Kieran Tierney.

There was some concern during the open training session when both skipper Andy Robertson and striker Lawrence Shankland hobbled off nursing knocks, but initial reports suggest the duo appear to be okay. Scotland haven't had their problems to seek in the build-up with striker Lyndon Dykes ruled out of the tournament following a ligament injury at Lesser Hampden last week, while Hamilton man Lewis Ferguson's was ruled out last month through injury after a sterling season in Italy with Bologna.
