Scotland Nations League fixture list revealed as Poland clash kicks off campaign while Cristiano Ronaldo date set

Scotland will kick off their Nations League campaign in September at home to Poland.

Steve Clarke and his troops discovered their League A opponents on Thursday evening during the Paris draw ceremony with the Dark Blues set to also come up against Croatia and Portugal in their four-game group. The Tartan Army are set for a summer part in Germany for Euro 2024 before focus turns to the Nations League but fans can now start planning their trips and getting those all important dates in the diary after UEFA confirmed the matchdays and kick-off times for the six games.

The national team play FOUR matches before they jet out to Germany to kick off the major tournament football this summer against the hosts in Munich. They also play Hungary and Switzerland in the group stage with the fans praying for an extended stay in the competition as they target knockout football. The international games return in March with the Netherlands and Northern Ireland providing the opposition before a double-header with Gibraltar and Finland in June in the send-off matches. Following the Euros finals the international football takes centre stage once again with home and away clashes with Poland, Croatia and Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal taking place across September, October and November this year.

Speaking after the draw, Clarke said: “I want them all, I want them all. I say that because you only have a short career and as a player myself I wanted to play against the best players. You want to be competitive against the top guys and test yourself against the best teams and the best players. So hopefully Lewandowski, Modric and Ronaldo hang on a little bit longer and decide to play in the Nations League.
