Science and Industry Museum to host adults only after-hours event with access to all exhibitions

Adults will be able to discover what happens after dark at the Science and Industry Museum as part of a special, after-hours event.

The museum will host a unique after dark event on October 5 where anyone over the age of 18 will be invited to explore the historic venue on Liverpool Road after it is closed to the general public.

The ticketed event will allow guests to explore all of the museum’s activities, exhibitions and experiences, including the Power Up exhibition, which explores five decades of gaming from the likes of Pong and Pac-Man to futuristic next-gen virtual reality, and the super-sized science of Operation Ouch! Food, Poo and You.

Visitors will also be able to sit back and relax with a drink at the museum’s Revolution Manchester gallery, with a range of wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks on offer.

There will also be an opportunity to see Paul Miller’s unique audio-visual spectacle MicroCosmic installation as well as hear from the artist himself as part of a discussion with Professor Chloe James from the University of Salford. The Microbial Puppet Masters team from the Universities of Salford and Liverpool will also be making appearances.
