A school has paid tribute to a 'well-liked and valued' former pupil who was shot dead while on holiday in America.
Former Manchester Metropolitan University student Lucy Harrison, 23, died on Friday, January 10 following an incident at her dad's home in Prosper, Texas. An inquest into her death was opened at Warrington Coroner's court on Wednesday, which heard she was fatally shot with a firearm.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Lucy's death is considered to be homicide by a US medical examiner. Lucy was a former pupil of Great Sankey High School in Warrington.

Lucy was a bright and dedicated student. She was a well-liked and valued member of our school community during her time here with us at both Great Sankey High School and Barrow Hall College (the school's sixth form).
"She will be remembered for her hard work, dedication to her studies, and her friendly and positive presence within our college community. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this most difficult time."
