Saudi Olympic rider Al-Sharbatly and Quisandro top Gijón international horse show
GIJÓN, Spain: Saudi Olympic rider Abdullah Al-Sharbatly and his horse Quisandro have won first place at the €28,300 Caser Group Helvetia Grand Prix CSI 2 with a timing of 36.74 seconds.
On the final day of the same championship, Al-Sharbatly also achieved second place in the CSI 4 category over 145 cm hurdles with the horse “Alamo” and a fraction of a second behind the first-place winner, Belgian horse rider Van Paaschen.
Al-Sharbatly's victory comes as part of the Saudi national showjumping team's participation in the European season, during which the team's riders have delivered outstanding results.
The Saudi show jumping team is represented by Ramzi Al-Dahami, Abdullah Al-Sharbatly, Abdulrahman Al-Rajhi, Khaled Al-Mubti, and Mishari Al-Harbi.
