Saturday sport: County final clashes, provinces in URC action

There are several county finals taking place today.

Ballina Stephenites defend their Mayo Senior Football title against Knockmore from 7pm at McHale Park this evening.

It’s an all Lurgan affair between Clan na Gael and Clann Eireann in the Armagh Football decider at 6pm.

Pearse Park hosts the Longford Football final between Colmcille and Abbeylara at 3.45pm.

While the Dublin Hurling final pits Kilmacud Crokes against holders Na Fianna at Parnell Park at 7.45pm.

Ireland will aim to retain their crown in the Hurling/Shinty International against Scotland this afternoon.

The teams will clash at Cusack Park in Ennis at 3.30pm.

All four Irish provinces are in action today in the last round of URC fixtures before the international break.

Munster are in Durban to play the Sharks at 3pm.

Leinster and the Lions meet at the Aviva Stadium at 5.15pm. Ulster and Connacht are both in action at 7.35pm

Ulster travel to Cardiff while Connacht welcome The Dragons to Galway.

Manchester City will look to move to the top of the Premier League table this afternoon.

City boss Pep Guardiola insists they'll be taking nothing for granted when they host Southampton this afternoon.

The newly promoted side have only picked up one point from their eight Premier League games so far.

But Guardiola says he respects how Southampton have performed.

The other 3pm clashes sees Aston Villa take on Bournemouth, Brentford face Ipswich and Brighton host Wolves.
