Saturday sport: Cork face Limerick in hurling, start of Tailteann Cup

It is a busy day at both ends of the Premier League table, while in GAA, the Tailteann Cup gets underway. It is also important day of action for the Irish provinces in the URC.

Tailteann Cup gets underway this afternoon, with Kildare opening their campaign against Longford at Hawkfield.

Leitrim play Waterford, while Down host Limerick in Newry.

Sligo face Wexford, Fermanagh take on Wicklow, and Offaly play London.

In hurling, Cork face a must-win game when they take on All-Ireland champions Limerick.

Manchester City lead 3-0 away to Fulham in the Premier League's lunchtime game.

Josko Gvardiol scored two and Phil Foden with the other goal for the visitors, who will move to the top of the table as things stand.

The relegation battle takes centre stage in the afternoon games.

Luton Town can move level on points with 17th-placed Nottingham Forest with victory away to West Ham.

Burnley travel to Tottenham, where only a win will stave off relegation this afternoon.

Even that might not be enough for the Clarets, if Nottingham Forest manage a win at home to Chelsea in the evening game.

Elsewhere today, Bournemouth play Brentford, while Everton are at home to Sheffield United.

Newcastle host Brighton, and Wolves play Crystal Palace.

It's 2-1 to Celtic at Parkhead in this afternoon's Old Firm derby in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic could open up a six-point lead on Rangers at the top of the table with a win.
