Saturday Night Takeaway viewers feel ‘cheated’ as other fans are fascinated by behind-the-scenes look at how the show works

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were left surprised by a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings on the popular family entertainment show. This Easter weekend fans were treated to two helpings of the Ant and Dec-hosted programme which launched back in 2002.

After enjoying a high-energy series finale from Florida on Saturday night, in a one-off programme aired on Easter Sunday, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and their team showed us how the different popular segments and games are put together. Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway: Behind the Screens revealed that months of planning goes into making the series.

From booking and prepping celebrity guests to organising hilarious challenges and the famous End of the Show Show starring special guest performers, fans saw that it's a huge team effort to ensure everything runs smoothly. However, some people forced to question what they thought they knew.

As they watched the making of the first End of the Show Show of the 2023 series, Ant and Dec performed with singer Tom Grennan in what appeared to be a magically moving dressing room that appeared to defy the rules of physics. The walls, floor and furniture moved around them as Tom sang his hit Remind Me.

Viewers discovered that the performance was filmed in advance and took multiple takes to get right because of the complicated choreography and extras needed. @ronan367 tweeted: "I thought The end of the show show was always live." And @YouBearsssssss said: "So the end of the show show isn't live I feel cheated!!!"
