Santa's grottos and places to see Father Christmas in and around Greater Manchester this festive season 2023

Christmas will soon be here, which means you might be looking for somewhere your little one can pay a visit to the main man.

We all know Santa makes a flying visit to see what all the girls and boys want for Christmas, so we're making sure you know exactly where to find him this year.

We've already compiled a list of events that get booked up quickly ahead of the festive season, but there are plenty of places you can catch him ahead of the big day.

Whether you want a special meet and greet with Santa, or just a place to see him from afar, there are all kinds of experiences on offer - and Tesco's even launched its own free grotto this year.

Here's our list of some of the main grottos and places to see Santa in and around Greater Manchester

Little ones get to meet Santa as part of the Cockfields Christmas Experience. Families get a private visit with Santa as part of the event, which includes a whole host of festive activities including learning how to be an Elf in the Elf Academy and building your own reindeer bear to take home. The event is running from November 26 and tickets, from £18 for adults and £38 for children, (£10 for under ones) can be booked online.

A Christmas grotto is coming to The Trafford Centre alongside its Tinseltown event. This year, it's a traditional grotto style, with plenty of magical touches promised. There will be an 'immersive wonderland' where kids will walk through an Enchanted Forest to meet Santa. And a Christmas Market will also up the festive feels all around it.
