Santa and his elves appear at Carlingwark Loch parkrun in Castle Douglas
Santa and his elves took time out of their Christmas preparations to enjoy a run in Castle Douglas on Saturday.
Many runners and walkers taking part in the weekly Carlingwark Loch parkrun donned festive attire for the occasion. Eighty-five people – and several volunteers – enjoyed the occasion, with Cameron Muir first to complete the 5km course in 17.47.
Carlingwark Loch parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 9.30am, with everyone welcome to take part – whether that’s by walking or running the course around Lochside Park.
It’s free to take part, just register in advance of your first parkrun at www.parkrun.org.uk/carlingwarkloch and remember to bring your barcode so you can be included in the results.
New volunteers are also welcome to get in touch.
