Hamilton Accies attackers wanted by Queen of the South and Clyde

Hamilton Accies duo Joel Mumbongo and Dario Zanatta are being targeted for loan moves to SPFL rivals.

Swedish striker Mumbongo is wanted by Hamilton's League One competitors Queen of the South, while the club's groundsharing partners Clyde have made an offer to try and tempt Canadian winger Zannatta to League Two.

Lanarkshire Live Sport understands discussions are ongoing with both clubs over the moves.

Mumbongo has made 11 appearances and scored once since joining in the summer after his release from English League Two club Tramere Rovers, while Zanatta has netted twice in 12 appearances this term.

Meanwhile, Kelty Hearts are understood to be showing an interest in a possible permanent deal for 20-year-old Accies defender Josh O'Brien.

The Fifers have already taken Accies centre-back Fergus Owens on loan this season and the 20-year-old returned to New Douglas Park earlier this week following the expiry of his short-term loan at New Central Park.

Accies are keen to strengthen their squad further following the arrivals of midfielder Ben Williamson on a permanent 18-month deal from Rangers and the loan signing of striker Makenzie Kirk from Hearts last week.

However, it is understood the club will need to move some players on before they can splash any cash on any more incomings.

On Tuesday, 18-year-old defender Cian Newbury was sent out on loan to League Two side Dumbarton.
