Sander Berge warns Nottingham Forest what to expect after his 'best day' for Sheffield United

Sander Berge has warned Nottingham Forest they will not 'hold back' when they visit in the first leg of their play-off semi-final. The Norwegian international is currently flourishing in an attacking role under Paul Heckingbottom and was again dominant as United put four past champions Fulham.

Not only did he find the net and then grab an assist, but he was also instrumental in United's second goal. In front of a sell-out crowd, he described it as his 'best day in a Blades shirt' as the victory secured a fifth place finish and set up a mouth-watering clash with Forest on Saturday.

He says occasions like yesterday really do hammer home how special Bramall Lane can be and how much of an impact that atmosphere can have on the players. Speaking to SUTV, he said: "It was my best day in a Blades shirt for me. Full stadium, it was rocking from the first minute.

"It was unbelievable being out there. The atmosphere has always been good in this dressing room, it's a very good group of lads. When we stick together through thick and thin these are the moments when you really care for each other. We're all a group and everyone has been a big part of this team this season.

"It's the best place, you can't get much more joy than playing out here. Especially when it goes our way and we get a goal, get the fans behind us it's just different, you feel like you are so strong out there."

That home support will be crucial when Steve Cooper's side make the trip up the M1 in six days' time. Forest's late draw at Hull meant they slipped from third to fourth. Both matches have ended in 1-1 draws this season with little between the two sides and Berge believes confidence is high in the Sheffield United dressing room.
