Sander Berge opens up on his time at Sheffield United, his preferred role and the 'best feeling'

Sander Berge says the victory over Blackburn Rovers was the 'best feeling' he's had at Bramall Lane.

The Blades left it late before grabbing a stoppage-time winner through Ben Davies to move back into sixth place and extend their impressive run to just one defeat in 15 matches.

It was also possibly Berge's best performance of the season so far, with a stellar display in a more advanced role to the right of midfield.

The Rovers backline could not cope with him as he effortlessly glided past players, leaving two and three at a time trailing in his wake.

It was also his 50th appearance in a Sheffield United shirt since arriving from Genk in January 2020 but it's been a disruptive two years so far, with two serious hamstring injuries and three managers in that time.

However, the Norwegian international is currently benefiting from a spell in the side after regaining his fitness and looks to be enjoying more freedom in his role under Paul Heckingbottom.

Speaking following last night's dramatic win, Berge explained how difficult it's been adapting to his new surroundings, but how he believes United can now see the best of him in this current role.

"That was a massive win," he told SUTV Live.

"I have never experienced that atmosphere after a game. When Wes saves that and we go on to score with Ben Davies that's probably the best feeling I have had at Bramall Lane.

"Since I came to the club there was adaptation from playing in Belgium in a league that is not as physical and strong as the Premier League and Championship is.

"Also I was a defensive midfielder where you see the game in a totally different way, you are building the attacks and dictating the tempo but since I came here [Chris] Wilder took me in as more of an
