Hourihane starts: How we expect Sheffield United to line up against Coventry on Saturday

Sheffield United put on a show for their fans under the lights at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.

The Blades demolished fellow play-off hopefuls Middlesbrough 4-1 on Chris Wilder’s return to the club and are now sat 5th in the Sky Bet Championship – a great position to be as we enter the final stages of the season.

This weekend, they make the trip to Coventry City who themselves are eyeing up a place in the Championship’s top-six come the seasons end.

The Sky Blues are now 11th in the league standings after back-to-back defeats and will no doubt be looking to get their play-off challenge back on track this weekend.

With that being said, here, FLW takes a look at a Sheffield United line-up Paul Heckingbottom could use for the tie.

In goal and defence things will likely remain the same, with Wes Foderingham in net and a back three of Ben Davies, John Egan and Jack Robinson.

With the continued absence of George Baldock and Jayden Bogle, Ben Osborn could once again feature at right-wing-back, whilst Rhys Norrington-Davies could get the nod on the opposite flank.

Sander Berge and Oliver Norwood could remain in the side after the Blades strong performance against Middlesbrough, but with John Fleck leaving the pitch early on Tuesday night, Conor Hourihane could come in from the start on Saturday.

Up front both striking positions could also remain unchanged, Billy Sharp and Morgan Gibbs-White both starting once again after goals against Boro.

Gibbs-White is said to be attracting the attention of a number of Premier League clubs with his performances at Bramall Lane this season.

Coventry City vs Sheffield United is set for a 3pm kick-off at the Coventry Building Society Arena tomorrow afternoon.
