Sam Thompson issues New Year message after fans ask 'can we discuss' unexpected part of Pete Wicks prank

Sam Thompson has delivered a message about the new year after an unexpected prank on Pete Wicks caught fans' attention over Christmas.

In a video posted to his Instagram Story, Sam could be seen walking down the street as he spoke directly to the camera with a huge smile, exclaiming: "New Year! 2025 baby, come on! Let's have it! I can't wait. The new year is going to be amazing.

"You're going to have the best year ever and you know I'm never wrong and I'm always right. You're going to have the best year ever." He then kissed the camera and rounded off by saying: "Love you!"

It comes after Sam surprised his followers with his attire in a video he filmed while best pal Pete was taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. The I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner admitted he felt bad about the prank he did on his pal and waited into the show's 2024 run had come to an end to share it.

In the clip, Sam is seen on the phone to Pete, telling him: "You know last week when I came to your rehearsals? I didn't want to freak you out and now I feel like it's all gone down the f**king pan..." Pete angrily replied: "What have you done?" As Sam went to respond, he interjected: "What have you done?"

Sam shared: "I need to tell you before you go into your rehearsals," to which Pete replied: "I'm standing outside Anton Du Beke's dressing room. Sam, what have you done? Tell me what you've done!" Sam then said: "Promise you won't hate me?" but Pete bluntly replied: "No, I'm not promising you that. What have you done... I swear to God, if you f**k this up for me I will hunt you down!"
