Saints star Mark Percival still ruled out for Leeds clash, but key duo set to return

St Helens and England centre Mark Percival will remain sidelined with the leg injury that has forced him to miss the last two games.

The defending champions host Leeds Rhinos on Thursday, and Saints head coach Kristian Woolf admitted today that Percival would again miss out.

Jonny Lomax and Morgan Knowles, who missed England's mid-season international against the Combined Nations All-Stars on Saturday, will both return to action against the Rhinos.

Woolf said: "Mark Percival won't feature this week. He has had a niggle and something going on for a number of weeks.

"It was one that we thought might improve quicker than what it has, but it hasn't. We are not going to take a significant risk with him and It is a little bit of 'see how it is coming along' but we are hopeful for Catalans, but not guaranteed at this stage.

"With the bit of extra time that he's had it will certainly give him a chance."

Lomax, who recently became a father for a second time, has been playing with a bicep injury. However, Shaun Wane said last week that the Saints half-back is still very much in his plans despite missing the trial game against the Combined Nations All-Stars.

Wolf added: "Jonny has had a lot going on with injury and some other things - although positive things - but the best thing for Jonny, both mentally and physically, was to get a break at the weekend.

"That is a decision he has made with Shaun Wane as well. Morgan Knowles has been carrying a bit of a niggle for a number of weeks that needed some extra treatment.
