SA's Lloyd Harris bows out of Miami Open in last 16
South African tennis star Lloyd Harris' Miami Open campaign ended in a straight sets defeat to Poland's Hubert Hurkacz on Tuesday.
Hurkacz, the eighth seed and defending Miami champion, subdued Harris with a 7-6 (7/3), 6-2 win.
After saving two break points midway through a the opening set, the Pole won the last five points of the tie-break.
Harris started with an early break in the second set, but that would be the last game the South African won in the match, as Hurkacz swept the final six games, including the final 16 points.
Hurkacz set up a duel with world No 2 Daniil Medvedev, who can return to the top of the ATP rankings with a quarter-final win.

Despite the defeat, Harris will feel chuffed with his efforts in Miami as he reached the last 16 of a Masters 1000 event for the first time.
It had been an inconsistent year for Harris - he entered the Miami Open with a 2-7 ATP win-loss record - but he seems to be finding the form that saw him progress to the quarter-finals of the US Open last year.
