Rylan Clark confirms reasons for month-long absence as he tells fans 'coming soon'

Rylan Clark has finally confirmed the reason he's been away from his BBC Radio 2 show as he told his fans and followers his now not-so-secret project was 'coming soon'. The TV and radio star has been absent from his Saturday show on the station since February 10.

Rylan, who took over Zoe Ball’s Saturday afternoon slot on Radio 2 when she moved to present the station’s breakfast show in 2019, has been replaced by Paddy McGuinness in the 3pm to 6pm slot for the past four weeks after the host said he need the break to film "something very special".

He announced at the end of January: "Rylan said: "I’m going to be off for a few weeks filming something very special – so the wonderful Paddy McGuinness is going to be keeping my lovely Radio 2 listeners entertained while I’m away."

He was also seen taking a dip in the water under the bright sunny rays - a far cry from what's been seen in the UK of late - and looking rather exhausted as he spread himself across two large beanbags while sporting a bronzed glow.

Captioning the post, Rylan revealed to his 2.1 million followers: "A month on an island in Colombia shooting Dating Naked UK. The best times, The best people, The best memories. Coming
