Ryan Kent leaves Rangers return door open as winger 'wants' back to Scotland or English Premier League

Ryan Kent reportedly wants a return to Scotland or a switch to the English Premier League if his Fenerbahce stint ends.

The former Ibrox winger joined the Istanbul giants in the summer after leaving Gers on a free transfer. But the move has turned sour with Kent struggling to get into the Fener team. Now they've added Italian legend Leonardo Bonucci to their ranks and another 'foreign' player will have to make way so they can register him in their Turkish Super Lig squad.

The smart money would be on that player being Kent. However, with Hull City interested in taking him, reports in Turkey claim that the former Liverpool wide man only has eyes for either top flight north or south of the border. Journalist Ahmet Selim Kul claims that Kent will knock back the Tigers and has his sights set higher. Given Celtic would be extremely unlikely, that only leaves a return to Rangers as a realistic destination in Scotland. Down south would be the most likely destination, but whether there's interest above the second tier remains to be seen.

Kul told the Rangers Review: "If Fenerbahce have to register Bonucci to their squad then they have to let another foreign player go and Kent will be that player because he could not play a lot.

"The squad mentality has changed and he has also been unable to get used to the Istanbul way of life.

"He is a bit of a shy guy and not a very social guy and because of that Kent could not get used to the city very well so it is looking like the club will sell Kent in this transfer window.

"I have heard that from Kent's side that he does not want to leave Fenerbahce in this transfer window but I believe he will leave. There is a lot of interest in him from Turkey, the English Championship, with Hull City
