Ryan Christie slaps down Celtic transfer claims over cash but reveals Ange Postecoglou sparked late doubt

Ryan Christie has rejected claims he left Celtic for the money.

The Scotland international signed for EFL Championship side Bournemouth last summer but insists he had more lucrative financial offers on the table.

Christie maintains his motivation for leaving Parkhead was a desire to make a change in his career and experience something new.

And he's adamant he's made the right decision in heading south.

He told Football Scotland : "In terms of money there were moves on the table which would have been more financially beneficial which I went against.

"That proves in my mind that it wasn't like that.

"When I moved within a few weeks I felt I'd made the right move and I've loved it ever since.
