Rugby LIVE: Wales v Argentina reaction as announcement imminent and England call in Lion
Wales' autumn campaign has begun with a loss against Argentina in Cardiff. Despite showing some signs of improvement under new boss Steve Tandy, ultimately, Argentina had far too much for Wales and ran in a stunning seven tries.
It was a record defeat against Los Pumas and the lowest Principality Stadium crowd in nine years. A major casualty from the match was captain Jac Morgan, who suffered a dislocated shoulder and will likely be out for the remainder of the autumn series. Tandy revealed in a press conference after the match that he will be calling up a player and name-checked Ospreys' Harri Deaves and Leicester Tigers man Tommy Reffell as potential suitors. The call-up is likely to be announced today.
Another concern for Wales was number eight Aaron Wainwright, who gingerly made his way to the bench after being replaced in yesterday's defeat. When asked about his condition in the presser, Tandy said: "I think he had a fair bit of cramp. We’ve got to look at him and assess him over the next couple of hours."
